The Sanctuaries of Beauraing are always very happy to welcome groups (parishes or others). They propose activities adapted for each age group.

Adults, young persons and children are often very happy to discover the account of the apparitions by means of a 24, 47 or 52 minute film. They may be guided together or separately depending on the desires of each group.

Persons of the Sanctuaries are there to welcome adults, young persons and children and may answer prospective questions after the film. Groups may have guided tours (the apparition sites, the chapel, the basilica, the crypts…) Adults, young persons and children gladly stop by the works of art, the relic of Saint John-Paul II, the icon of Our Lady of Beauraing, the wall where the words said by Our Lady have been engraved, and certainly in front of the hawthorn, where Mary appeared from November 29th 1932 until January 3rd 1933.

For children the Sanctuaries propose several specific activities: catechesis on Marian feasts from a large rose window, colouring the ceramics of the rosary, and, “Coeur de Marie” handicraft.” Young people will be happy to walk or bike one of the routes of the Golden Heart: They will discover with much interest the young Monastic Fraternity of Tibériade, located some kilometers from Beauraing.

Often groups equally wish to partake in the celebration of the Eucharist. They can join in one of the masses of the Sanctuaries (at 10:30 am from Monday to Saturday and at 12:00 pm and 3:45 pm on Sunday) or they may go to the parish church where daily mass is celebrated at 5:45 pm. Mass may also be said privately with one of the priests in the group or if needed with a priest of the Sanctuaries.

Other numerous times of prayer are also proposed: the rosary, adoration of the most Holy Sacrament, salutation, vespers. Groups may live these prayer times amongst themselves or with the faithful of the Sanctuaries who pray at different times of the day.

Pilgrims equally like to pray much for their families, their close ones. Different possibilities are offered for this. In the Votive Chapel an open book is available to add in it any prayer intentions. At the hawthorn a letter may be mailed in the mail box to the Virgin and a candle may be lit and burn there, confiding all prayer intentions to Her.

Some priests of the Sanctuaries understand English. They are available for confessions.

Numerous documents and objects may also be discovered at the Marian museum of the Sanctuaries, where hundreds of statues of the Virgin Mary are assembled along with clothes belonging to the children who saw Mary at Beauraing, there are also, photos of the time period of the apparitions and other interesting pieces. In the basilica, you will find an exhibition with more than 300 documents related to the apparitions of Beauraing.

Pilgrims are generally very happy to take back with them a souvenir from their pilgrimage at Beauraing: a post card, a book, a statue, a CD, a DVD… All may be found in the Sanctuaries of Beauraing gift shop, “Pro Maria.”
